Scott Peoples was one of Australia's most talented young cyclists and was on the brink of breaking into the cut-throat world of professional cycling in Europe.
Tragically in December 2006 Scott was killed whilst on a training ride near Mansfield in regional Victoria.
To honour Scott's memory the Scott Peoples Foundation was formed to assist in the development of junior cycling in regional Victoria.
In partnership with the Scott Peoples Foundation we are proud to announce that the 3rd annual Scotty's Ride will take place on Saturday 11th December 2010.
A brand new and exciting course has been designed for Scotty's Ride, 2010. This course will now travel through the Strathbogie Ranges climbing over the renowned Kelvin View.
The course offers a diversity of experiences within a landscape of rugged hills, majestic views, spectacular rocky outcrops, magical forests, and ferny glades.
The 156km or 53km recreational challenge rides will take place on the quiet country roads around Scott's home town of Shepparton.
Scotty's Ride will kick off an action packed weekend of cycling which will also include Scotty's Race featuring see some of Australia's top cyclists.
