Here is the FINAL High Quality version of this painting: http://fav.me/d2zivjo
This is a time lapsed recording of my computer screen while I am digitally painting a picture of Brandy Norwood.
In this "Speed Painting" I decided to incorporate one more tool in my painting process, the "Smudge Tool." Not only did I decide to add this tool to my process, I also decided to branch out from strictly copying the photograph. This is something I had never done in any of my previous speed paintings. At first you can see I planned on just strictly copying the photograph, but at around 0:52 I decided to make a new, bigger "canvas" and just let my imagination take control.
I have been wanting to do a Speed Painting of Brandy for a VERY long time because she has had a such HUGE impact on my life. Ever since I first heard "The Boy is Mine" (I was like 12? I'm 24 now) I was obsessed. I bought "Never Say Never" and listened to that CD over and over and over for YEARS! Not only was I in love with her music, I was in love with Brandy! I watched Moesha ALL THE TIME. And I remember going to see "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" the day it came out and being EXTREMELY happy her character was alive at the end of the movie! LOL! And then Brandy came out with Full Moon... then Afrodisiac... then Human. Each one of those albums means a TREMENDOUS amount to me. Brandy's music has always been there for me. No matter what mood I might be in, Brandy's voice will lift me up and always make me feel better. Her music takes me to other worlds and inspires me. I don't know what it is about Brandy, but I can honestly say I have never heard a song with Brandy in it that I did not love. And that is the TRUTH.
Enjoy!
Music: Brandy - "A Capella (Something's Missing)", "Right Here (Departed)"

@2ndSonStudio Yes. It was all done on one single layer. I want to keep my digital painting process as similar to oil painting as possible.
