I've long since retired, my son's moved away

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me,

huh my dad showd me this song when i was about 4 and now i just turned 14 this is still my favorite song in the world. my dad is a cop and we like to bond by target shootingand hunting and fishing just the other day my mom told me that i was moving to florida with her and my mom and dad are divorced and they have been since i was 2 and now i see him half of a week each week which is pretty lucky of me but now im only gonna get to see him once a year :'(

@NorthCalDude it sounds like your dad went to prison when u were two. Men that are locked up for a long time that never seen their kid are scared to go see the child for fear of hate and dislike. it is his fault for screwing up, going to jail and missing out on ur childhood. but to forgive is to be free. at least u have a dad. make it work. I tell my wife every day to find her dad before it's too late.
