I was on this particular train, it feels weird watching it from the outside rather than the inside.

I was quite fond of rideing the CPRR 2816 when it was running I love shooting trins in Canada my best time on her was going through the spiral tunnels I rode in the cab from Lake Louise Alberta to Field BC..I feel another great canadian steam locomotive that deserves to be free to run on the mainline again is the CNRR 6060 what a waste of a good egine only in a muselm to run

I am mostly a fan of Canadian Steam (I am Canadian) But the 844 is one good looking locomotive. As for the diesel, the train is 22 cars long, even the 844 would have a little trouble with that train. If she was new they would have her solo, but she is what 60 years now? Its better to have a steamer on the rails with a diesel then not have it on he rails at all. We do not want to see her out of service due to pushing her to hard now.
