did you really put the old clutch back in?
-
on my 9000 i was able to get the exact same sound from the stock bpv simply with a steel mesh cone intake filter.
nice vid/car btw getting a 99 vert next week so extremely anxious to compare the b234 to the 2.0

you take the hose that is going from the bpv and take it off and turn it aroung so its facing the right if ur looking at it and close up the hose thes going into the intake to the turbo u can buy plugs that fit into its place it sounds so much better also get a intake it sounds great i blew the engine on the car twice so becareful

Hey I have a 1999 9-3 turbo convertible. And I can barely hear my turbo. Is this one aftermarket? If not what did you to to make it louder

@Pendragon1989 well i took off the air box and put on a auto zone or pep boys cone filter about 20 bucks u can see it in the video the red filter, then you unhook the BPV (Bypass Valve) Unhook the hose going onto it then you will get the PSHHH noise or blow off valve, when u change it to the cone you will get the turbo spool noise turbo winding w.e u wanna call it

@ctzduce2k Nice, well i know what you mean about the air filter. But where is the bypass valve and hose?
Pendragon1989 11 months ago
@Pendragon1989 its the hose that goes on the intake like it goes from the left of the black intake to the right to the stock bosh BPV disconnect the hose at the BPV and close up the hose or you can find somthing to just close it off the hose and leave the BPV open

@Pendragon1989 at like 2:29 on the video u can hear it the black thing is the bpv i just twisted it around and that tube where you put the filter on has a small tube going off of connecting to that black BPV... Dissconect it from the BPV and thats all and block the hole with somthing on the hose not the bpv

How did you take the engine out? Im swapping a 204R into my car and im wondering how to get the engine out with the lack of room. Did you also take the tranny out? I need to take the tranny and the engine so i was just wondering if you have any tips on disconnecting and removing.

remove the ecu from glove box take off glove box and unplug and run the wire thru the firewall it has a hole for it when u take off glove box, you have to unbold tranny and just move it over like dissconnect it from the motor, then take off downpipe by unbolting from turbo remove all wires sensors, when u disconnect the ecu form inside it all comes out jus remove all engine mounts holdint engine and lift it out its pretty simple have u ever taken out a honda engine its almost likeit good luck
