I made a trip to the Western Wall in Jerusalem on January 1, 2009, a tradition I have kept for 17 years. King Solomon prayed when the Temple was first dedicated in this place and asked G-d to hear the prayers of the "foreigner" when he prayed here, and I believe he does. And so, as the sun rose up over the hills of Jerusalem on the first day of 2009, I, a foreigner - brought my prayer and requests from friends around the world to place into the Wall - a long tradition of worshipers who visit. On my list of those I was praying for were several Israeli soldiers, now serving in the Israeli conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Joining King Solomon in his prayer so long ago: May the G-d of Israel continue to hear the cries of his people as they pray to him from this place. Amen.

  • Does the 'foreigner' represent non-Jews?

  • The phrase goes on to say, "who is not of your people Israel" so it does indeed mean non-Jews.

  • A grown man wedging notes between stone blocks.

  • In fact, the Bible states that one day the Messiah, Jesus Christ, will come back to earth and build a temple for the Jewish people on the Temple Mount (Zechariah 1:16,6:12). However, before Messiah builds His temple in Jerusalem, there will be a Jewish temple erected on the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1).

  • I'm a Jew, and I don't consider the Western Wall sacred. If you call it the "Wailing Wall," then who are you wailing for? The destruction of the Beit HaMikdash, or all the children murdered by its builder, Herod the Evil.

  • I am not Anti-Semitic; I do not hate my own kind. I just know who my own kind are, and who they are not.

  • "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." Revelation 2:9

One of the reasons they say they reject Jesus Christ is that "he did not fulfill the Biblical prophecies of the Messiah." Their own "aish" website says so. Jesus Christ sure fit the prophecies when Herod wanted to know where the Messiah would be born. They are not Israel, they are Esau/Edom. So they are guilty of Blasphemy.

  • @HumaninSeoul At least you didn't comment as the usual idiots do: "So Jews worship a stone wall?!".
