A little homage to a great scene in a long-forgotten show ... This was made on closing night at the Virginia Theater on Broadway (May, 1988) with Betty Buckley and Linzi Hateley... Enjoy !!

  • This is absolutely amazing. OMG, I've never heard Betty Buckley perform this way. She should do it more often. LOL I'm absolutely flabbergasted.

  • AGREED! Hardly the bomb that people say it is. This is great theatre.

  • You know what? Just for the sake of this song someone needs to try and remake this musical - this blows me away every time I hear it.

  • How the hell did Buckley do this. The velocity of the singing is ridiculous! The scene is actually scary and she also makes you kind of sorry for Mags. AMAZING!

  • This show neeeeeds to be revived.

  • I want to se this play

  • Betty Buckley and Linzi Hateley are the only good things that came from this production... Betty Buckley, in my opinion, is the only reason why people still perform ANYTHING from this musical.

  • This is such a powerful scene. Betty was so great. Also check out Kelley Mobley's performance in this role-----so dynamic!!

  • This is amazing! I get chills every time I listen to it.

Where did you get the recording? I'd love to hear the whole show.

  • @Megfly i think they're in the process of reviving it

  • I wanted to do this for our school showcase. But I can't find sheet music.

  • @jnewmark41 The reason this show flopped was because Debbie Allen was involved. She should never have been allowed anywhere near this production. She's a brilliant choreographer, but was totally the wrong choice for this material. The production numbers were a complete misfire. A good reference on this show is a book called "Not Since Carrie". It give great detail on failed Broadway shows like this one.

  • where can i find a download for this song?

  • nevermind.. this is the only good one xD
