The Washington School of Ballet's Summer Intensive gives students from around the world the opportunity to study with the school's acclaimed faculty. The Summer Intensive offers a four-week course of study for the Lower Division and a five-week course for Upper Division.

During the Intensive, classes are conducted at the Washington School of Ballet's NW location, Monday through Friday. As a result of this intensive training, students are able to progress rapidly and significantly increase their abilities in a relatively short time.

We provide a housing program for Summer Intensive students at the George Washington University dorms in historic Georgetown. It is not required that students live at the dorm, although it is highly recommended due to the rich experience of cultural excursions, outings, and the companionship of their peers.

As a part of the summer intensive, student in the Upper Division will get the opportunity to learn repertoire and be a part of a culminating performance in the fifth week, which will highlight each level's accomplishments.

  • @smoo478 In the summer intensive shown ( which is the northwest campus at The Washington Ballet) has a lower division of levels pre-ballet to 3, then the upper division levels of 4-7. * For the summer intensive only, the highest level is 7. During the regular year, 6 is the highest level.

  • @LifeResort The Washington Ballet has adult classes at both the northwest and southeast campus.

  • Thanks for representing the Belgian dancers too, T.! ;D

  • @balletgir227 4-21

  • How many levels are there in the program? What is the highest level?

  • Do you accept a 21-year old female whose ballet level is intermediate, but is very passionate and willing to work hard? I don't dream of becoming a professional ballerina (I know it is unrealistic), but I always dream to be really good in ballet. I am willing to spend years of my life doing intensive training simply to see myself dance as beautifully as a pre-professional dancer one day..

  • i miss washington school ):
