My phone is doing the exact same thing right now. It's also typing before I even touch the screen now. But if I reboot the phone it stops for a while.

Hopefully your iPhone ain't jailbroken other wise apple won't replace it. My only guess would be to restart your device.

Okay...I'm having the same issue. I called Apple and the tech had me to a restart and restore and that didn't work. The tech ended by saying that it was a hardware problem. So now, I have to go into an Apple store tomorrow. Will Apple replace it??

Yes, apple will completely replace your phone right there and then with a complete new one. :-)

yea i have had that problem too the same exact problem..but to i think what has happend was i left it charging one night i guess for to long and the screen was really hot and i went to send a text and wen i touched that area of the screen to touch it went all crazii i think the sensor in the screen got to hot and messed it up ..well i just wen to apple and got a new one =]

I was at a club when it happened to me, lol oddly enough my friend who works at the apple store was next to me, he told me right there and then I had to get a new one in the morning.
