Is Barbara West a journalist or Republican operative?

Barbara West is married to Republican strategist Wade West. Wade West is "a popular consultant for political candidates ranging from local elections, to more than 85 members of Congress and members of the Presidents cabinet." In addition, he has made multiple campaign contributions to the Republican Party.

On October 14, 2008, Barbara West interviewed Republican presidential candidate John McCain. One of the questions asked was "Senator McCain, why aren't you attacking Obama more forcefully for his leading role in voter fraud and for causing the US mortgage crisis?"

I stand by my opinion. If they have nothing to hide, then they should have nothing to fear. If the question is loaded or misappropiate theycan answer it with facts and in firm and affirmative tone. It would make the reporter look stupid and out of line, but by hiding it shows me a different kind of caracter. If these are the folks that want to lead the country and they are afraid of tough questions, what does that say about them ?

I am glag that someone is asking the right questions. It shows that Obama and Biden are afraid of tough questions. Joe Biden wife cancelled an interview with the station right after this.  What are they afraid for ? Nothing to hide, nothing to fear.
