  • I guess I never realized how often Jim threw to people out of the backfield. Makes sense with a back like Morris, though.

  • Ah I can hear "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the news at a victory party. Gotta love the 80s for the music and the MICHIGAN FOOTBALL!!!!

  • Michigan was selected by a writer as national champion in 1985. why won't Michigan officially claim it?

  • michigan is my favorite college team.. i was only two days old when this game was played lol

  • I remember this game. This was when Michigan finished the season as no. 2 in the country, right behind Oklahoma.

  • 1985 was Bo's best season as Wolvrines head coach, and this 20-12 victory is what really got the ball rolling. Coming off a 6-6 season, Michigan was unranked going into this game, while Notre Dame was ranked No. 13, and the Irish had beaten Michigan, 23-17, the last time these two teams met (in 1982). But the Wolverines upset the iriah in this game, and that propelled them to a 10-1-1 record and a NO. 2 ranking at the and of the season.

  • This was the year I bacame a Michigan fan. little Jamie Morris is why I became a Michigan fan. I think his alltime all purpose yds is still a record.
