HummDiggiDaDa

Video to "HummDiggiDaDa".
This Animation is made from a 30 piece Clay Sculpture I made back in 2004. The total Sculpture measures approx. 5ft x 4ft.
Having been fired once in a Kiln the plan was to glaze the pieces, fire them again & then mount them on pegs raised on a Perspex Sheet approx 6ft x 5ft.
Unfortuately, or fortunately as it turned out, I couldn't afford to finish it at the time so into a box & under my bed they went to gather dust until I could afford it...
Fast forward 5 years to April last year & one fine day I get a notion to make an Animation using the pieces. I borrowed a DV Camcorder from my good friend Feenixx & spent a few days & nights shooting different layouts of the pieces. Having never made an Animation before I had no idea what I was doing so I "winged it"..
The results were interesting enough but I had no idea what to do with them so into a box & under the bed they went too...
Fast forward to last week (Mar 2010) & I'm thinking about making a video for HummDiggiDaDa & I'm thinking.. & thinking & then it hits me.. The Pieces!! (as I call them..)..
So I reached in under my bed & pulled out the video footage I took, dusted them off & went to work on them..
This, my Friends, is the end result of almost 6 years in the making.. I give you "HummDiggiDaDa".. make of it what you will.. :)

Wonderful blend of the abstract with artistically sensitive simplicity. The music matches it wonderfully too as it also has a sense of order but also underlying tones of chaos.

Well done my man. This really is very nice. Post it to Vimeo too! More artists there and people whom would appreciate it I think.
