Each Duggar has his/her own chores (or jurisdictions, as they call them), which are somewhat gender-specific. However, Jim Bob decides that, on this day, the jurisdictions will switch the boys will do the cooking, laundry, and cleaning, while the girls learn basic automobile care.

  • this works for them, so i have no prob with it, i think it is great.

These kids don't seem like they r being forced into this, they like it, its what is normal, just like what we do is normal for us.

  • @danasuevk satan is god... monotheism.... god vs satan duality...

  • @danasuevk k pray for me plz

  • SO SEXIST. The work the girls do everyday is urgent, constant, everything falls apart without them. But the boys' work, other than the occasional emergency situation, is not urgent and they don't have that time pressure that the girls would have to deal with everyday.

Also, why didn't the older boys learn to cook?

  • The middle of nowhere??? Their house is right there!!!!

  • well, i'm a better cook than my husband, but he is better at laundry. he is better at memorizing schedules, but i'm handier around the house. it works. i also know how to change tires and change the oil. i just choose not to.

  • there not always gonna have 5 people when they need to change a tire

  • @Shareallicu

    it's like 2 or 3 people with 1 bathroom.

  • If the worse thing Jim Bob & Michelle does to their kids is to teach them how to take care of themselves and their belongings, then they should probably be awarded Parents of the Year...
