In a way I always knew that it is God who is in charge of everything. It just became clear when I got saved. I love His sovereignty. The lion, or should I say grizzly bear, that devoured me and my coasting 2 months ago is Matthew 16:24. It absolutely shattered my idea of what does it mean to follow Jesus. I resisted like crazy and tried to ignore that discipleship might cost me but God got me in the end. He is awesome! :)

thats good because he glorifies the sovereignity of God, but he does not expain much about it.

I dropped it LOL!

@soverignlyloved If God's glory can marred who repairs it.? God is never marred in glory He is perpetual glory sinners have no effect on God's glory only on themselves.
-
@soverignlyloved I appreciate your reply however God's glory is never sibject to another will. God's glory is always living even in man's failure. Man's failure is God's glory. It is not that God could ever be not glorified.

@polopowers1 i disagree you see god while yes being ultimatley soverign has 3 wills all whitch manifest in different ways and when we sin we step on gods glory becasue we are no worshiping him is his glory impeded because we step on it ? no not at all becasue it is that very steping on of gods will that makes the gospell so butifull and allows god glory to grow in the eyes of belivers and fallowers of christe

So John Piper who was already a Calvinist, Chose to believe the Calvinistic interpretation of Romans 9, so whats so special about that?
-
This man has said recently to his congregation you step on the glory of God everyday. Now this might sound passionate but it reveals how little Piper knows about sovereignty.God has never, never, never, had His glory stepped on or marred as Piper clearly has testified too more than once.He has an educational understanding of sovereignty not a Biblical one.God is never subjective with His Nature, ever! To tell people they have the power to step on God's glory reveals a deep ignorance.

"Freedom of the Will" by Jonathon Edwards, "Bondage of the Will" by Martin Luther, "A Display of Arminianism" & Life by His Death" by John Owen and "The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination" by Lorraine Boettner is what you might consider reading as well as "The Sovereignty of God" by A.W. Pink. Calvinists are aware of the books you mentioned but fail. The books mentioned by Owen and Edwards have yet to be answered even though they were printed long ago because it is Scriptural teaching.
Yes, this is awesome! I was in an argument with some guy about the sovereignty of God. He just read Romans 9 and John 6 and I was silenced plus, God revealed Himself to me in a way I never thought possible after that experience. All glory to Him! Funny how some texts never seem to feature up until a certain point. It feels like that was never in the Bible, then just some day, BAM!!! Hits you. Know what I mean?
