Beleive it or not there were plans to purchase a 65 ft. version of the Budd Silverliner for the P&W line in the mid-1960's. RDC's were built for Brazil that had 65 ft. Silverliner-type bodies that would have been identical had the P&W cars been built. Coincidentally, the N-5 is also 65 ft. long and is built of stainless steel like the proposed Silverliners, and their bodies were built by Sorefame of Portugal, which is a Budd Co. licensee. They're nice cars but please don't call them trolleys.
