@Sundogjeep hey you again, i dont attend a candian university (but you probably know that from visiting my profile, huh?) well would you not think that since i disagree with what the girl in this video was saying i would also disagree with those candian universities if that is the case? there is nothing in my comment that shows a leniency towards progressiveness, rather my comment is on the topic of whether one should shield an academic community from outside influence (conservative or liberal)

It seems to me to be quite against the spirit of academia to only invite speakers who agree totally with one's own views (what does one learn from that?) at my university we host debates and have many speakers with different views come to talk. If the opinion of these graduates is "if he doesn't agree with me then I should not have to listen" then I must say the university has failed them and their degree stands for very litte, unfortunately..
