ZERO TOLERANCE policies are piss poor solutions to fundamental social problems.
The first and foremost being the severe lack of real parental oversight (and really, parenting of any sort) over most modern youth.
So, in lieu of good parenting, we are reduced to absurd policies, like expelling someone for bringing a kitchen utensil to school.
Btw. this is very similar to some of the more extreme calls for "gun control" - as if the primary problem in the criminal use of a weapon is the utensil!

Zero tolerance is totally stupid i mean you can find and use weapons anywhere in the school like books,pencils,and even you can use YOUR BODY PARTS TO HARM SOMEONE. Get suspend over drawing guns and knifes and playing cops and robbers thats zero common sense i mean kids see guns everywhere even in cartoons. Also Tools can be weapons unless what it's purpose to do
