  • @vgcq02 It must be funny how Bill Clinton openly blamed the Democrats for blocking Bush and Republican efforts to add regulations on Fannie and Freddie. Why did the Democrats do this? Because they wanted affordable housing, even if it meant subprime lending. Bush did warn the US back in 2003 about Fannie and Freddie, but at least he has the decency not to say "I told you so" to the Democrats now.

  • @DarthCormac Clinton left office with a surplus in 2000 and 2001. he presided over the longest period of peace time economic expansion in US history. Bush did the damage

  • @DarthCormac first of all the republicans controlled congress from 1995 to 2007, that consists of them running three branches of government from 2001 to 2007. in this period, the Bush tax cuts were passed, the Iraq War, the attempt to privatize social security, cuts on infrastructure. do you know what the net job growth under bush for his two terms was? the first: 0.0%, the second, 0.2%. that is less than 2 million jobs. Clinton was 2.6% and 2.3% which translates into 24 million jobs total.

  • @DarthCormac: Bush created the biggest portion of the deficit: the Iraq War. That was not Clinton's fault. Not to mention the tax cuts for the wealthy and the prescription drug plan, all added to the deficit. And don't get me started on all the jobs sent overseas . . .

  • @angelbe88 I would like to see them go bankrupt.

  • I hate it when people blame Obama for this crisis. This crisis started under BUSH.

  • You all who voted for this man has to be some stupid motherfuckers.

  • It would have been great if no Democrats has been in Congress from 2001 until 2008, but sadly that was not the case.

So, when you criticize Bush for what you call "his" spending policies, you all should remember Senate & House Democrats refused to back anything he proposed unless there was a large amount of liberal pork attached to it.

Bush inherited a recession from Clinton and he got the blame for one started by Democrats who came into Congress in '06.

    CONGRESS controls spending, idiots.
