Tales of Symphonia: Clumsy Assassin (Mania)

This is a lot harder to do than it looks. Sheena can easily kill Colette in one combo (notice Pyre Seal doing about 450 to her in one shot), so you have little room for error. She can sometimes even catch you with Pyre Seal while you're above her (LAME) or even behind her (LAME LAME LAME) if you're unlucky.

You also need the Guardian to be kept off of you at almost all times, since he can seriously screw your pace up (and he can do about 400 with a 2-hit combo, so that sucks too). Obviously, this can be a problem with the silly AI.

Anyways, this was another fight where I had to restart a couple times due to stupid AI issues. Yep, Lloyd sometimes spent too much time running around, causing the Guardian to go after me or the healers. He even went after Sheena a couple times, despite being set up in such a way that it shouldn't have been possible for him to target her.

Then, on the 4th try, I beat her, but I poisoned her about 15 seconds in, making it too easy, so I redid it. This is the 6th try. =/

Now I'm past the hardest parts, so it should be smooth sailing from now on, at least until Yuan+Botta and the dragon's nest fight. *shudders*

Genis is a terrible choice for boss battles with multiple enemies, especially on Mania.

Genis does less damage-over-time than a melee character, cannot keep an enemy staggered/occupied as well as a melee character, and is less durable than a melee character. Furthermore, he has no healing spells.

Genis offers nothing to simplify multiple-boss battles.

She's far from being the worst character in the game (just look at my later videos), though she isn't all that great early on. And if I didn't control her, then that means the craptastic AI would control her and she'd die in 2 hits.

@Wolfwood824 That's not exactly true for the beginning of the game at least. While I fully agree that Genis is useless for this battle specifically, he is a very efficient choice at the beginning of the game. His chip damage from Fireball and Stone Blast might seem weak but it really adds up and makes battles end much faster than with Raine in the party. I know this discussion is 4 months old, but early game Genis is underrated.
