Following your logic we should team up with France? Why not? to do otherwise is seperatism. Honestly, to hear people who don't even want to run their own country is very sad. Scotland will always be a branch economy until it runs its own affairs.

  • I totally agree with you there. What is the point in seperatism. I honestly don't understand it. I would be in favour of it if this country wasn't a democracy. We have elected councils, an elected state parliament, an elected national parliament, an elected european parliament. Its bizarre and slightly tribalistic, why not seperatism for Strathclyde or the Highlands? You'll never hear that being spoken about. Truth be told I have more in common with a Manchurian than a Highlander.

  • I could be if i was proud or i cared. im scottish.period

  • @Alba12349 Scotland is a country and Britain is a country. You can be proud of both

  • thats the thing britain is a region. Scotland is my country.

  • @Alba12349 i understand you only feel Scottish but that is ofcourse just your own point of view. Scottish people who are proud to be both Scottish and British, or Scots who only consider themselves British have just as much right to feel that way as you do so they are not wrong.

There are so many things to be proud of for being Scottish, but you know theres even more things to be proud of for being British as well, and ofcourse it can be taken to the next level of being a European too.

  • no i dont blame england or hate them for that matter. but im proud to be scottish. I dont feel connected to england in anyway.

thats the truth mate. like it or not

  • @Alba12349 Lmao yes i am sure u were brainwashed into being a separatist when you were young. I know its easier for you to blame everything on England instead of recognising that Scotland played its role in the British Empire and this country's actions.

Britain is not an iperialistic country, we are the greatest nation on earth and go out of our way to help others. :) Be proud

  • HAHAHA! england was and still is an imperiaalistic country. nothing more nothing less.

what about all the people youve killed in scotland irealnd and the rest of the world? spreading democracy. my fu*ckin arse!

brainwashed in recent years. look ive never liked the union. I was raised as a scotsman no like a fu*ckin brit. and u would be suprised if u knew how many have that in common with me

  • @Alba12349 I am sorry you have been so brainwashed in recent years. the union between England and Scotland was one of the greatest things to happen to this island and indeed the world.

After our union we went on to create the greatest and most powerful country on this planet. We have spawned more democratic countries than any other nation in the history of mankind.

There is so many reasons to be proud of being British its ashame you are against your own country and its people.
