This marble machine is modelled after Denha's catapult marble machine. It took about 15 hours of CAD work to design the marble machine and 40 hours to build it. I purchased the Solarbotics 30:1 gear motor, plastic gears, battery holder and toggle switch from from Technobots in the UK. The track is made from 1mm brass rod on on 6mm centers. The index linkage is 2mm brass rod. I purchased the brass and plastic rods, and stainless steel ball bearings from McMaster Carr in the USA. The extension spring is from SpaeNaur in Canada. The wood is a combination of hardwood and softwood. I carved the profile on the loading table with a Proxxon rotary tool using carbide burr. Thanks for watching my video!
