  • CB IS DEAD?

  • CB is dead where you are maybe??? Here it is still lively everday!!!

  • Is it possible to use the incar adapter while using the standard rubberduck?

  • Yes but not very efficient as you are sitting inside a metal box. I always use a Sirio mag mount with my in car adaptor which works really well...

  • terrible ofcom should come down on them like a ton of bricks if it was us causing interference it would be another story

  • Anybody effected by this report it to offcom, it can be done online, just fill in the form with your detail, they wont come knocking at your door, but will send someone out in your area to check for interference and hopefully do something about it.

i have reported this myself and so have other cb radio/shortwave listeners and ham radio operators

  • @bben95 You will find it is BPL also (Broadband over Power Line). Don't take my word for it... tells you in more detail if you search BPL on Wikipedia

  • @markybyeah thats cos it has another antenna connector in the power connector

  • @coyoteuk "BPL is Broadband over Power Lines. Basically a Private user or Company will have a network for more than 1 peecee to share the internet, so to keep things tidy they purchase items from their local electrical store which allow them to send the data over the electrical mains. This interference is then carried out further down the street as everyone is on a ring main. Hope that sheds some light on the subject."

The normal term is PLT- Power line technology. Not BPL

  • ah buggar that's what im receiving in north east scotland!! arghhhhh
