  • why doesnt she let him finish what he is about to say before she was about to say something. seems disrespectful...

  • though gosh, this woman's a gross misquoter!

  • Execute large scale environmental criminals. It's simple. What have we got to lose? Only everything we know and love if we don't start to seriously protect ourselves by giving potential Tony Haywards the choice of doing it right or forfeiting their lives. Why we are so prudish about the death penalty I don't know; perhaps because in times past we've been delivering it to the wrong demographic!

  • These videos do nothing but illustrate the ignorance and arrogance of people in Congress. My intuition wants me to say that our politicians have to be bright people in order to get where they've gotten, but watching these videos seriously challenges that theory.

  • BP has the worst safety record of all oil companies. But they've given more money to Obama than any other politician, so it's all ok.

  • she has obviously never worked offshore.

oil companies push push push their workers (who are living in cramped dangerous conditions) to get that first oil. Also there are only a handful of engineers in the world with the experience to do the work.

If you have worked offshore you would not be surprised that this blow out happened. Safety is constantly being compromised.

    Its all about the money.

  • The fact that Hayward did not personally know of the dangers of this well, doesn't absolve him of responsibility. In fact, his ignorance is positive evidence of his negligence, that he did not properly oversee the safety of new wells.

The committe failed to ask: "Did you ask for progress reports into the safety aspects of the design and construction of this deep water well, at each and every stage of its design and construction? If not, why not? If you did, what was in those reports?"

  • she nailed him!!!

  • To be honest, she's kind of an annoying cunt. She and her staff are undoubtedly thrilled that she got her time reviling Hayward in on C-SPAN. She made sure she mentioned it in the recent email to her constituents. I for one will be unsubscribing to those emails.
