A look at some wearable art by Christina Johns. Christina describes the pair of jeans she hand-painted to wear to the 49th Annual 4th of July Parade "Made in America 2011" in Acton, CA. Her original and unique artwork consists of red, white, blue and pink stars, ranging in size from 1" across to a bold 15" across, painted directly onto the denim. Christina used both fabric paint and acrylic paint to create the free-flowing design. She utilized the uber modern look of metallic paint, glitter paint and standard flat paint. The jeans are signed by the artist, native Californian Christina Johns. They are Reflex brand, made in the USA out of a cotton/spandex blend. The jeans are used, with a little wear and tear at the bottom of each leg, They have no back pockets and a wide, low-slung waistband. They are very comfortable to wear because of the stretch fabric. The pants are on sale by the artist herself, in her eBay store http://stores.ebay.com/Ruby-Slipper-Productions.
