Im going to assume that you never rolled with an elite judo fighter. Find a black belt that has high credentials and they will throw you on your neck and you wont be able to do anything about it. Also, they are just as amazing on the ground as Bjj guys. You must be training with the wrong people

@carlsongracieteam If you pull guard I will slam you on your neck, and punch you in the face repeatedly. BJJ is amazing when it is paired with other techniques. Wrestling is the best base for any fighter and a great striker will use their foot work to let you not get close enough to pull guard. Straight BJJ is flawed in many ways because without your gi you have nothing to hang on to and you do not work strikes to the ground, which seriously prevents the bottom guy from rolling around carelessly

How are they going to punch us in the face if we pull guard and break their posture and begin attacking immediately. Go to a jiu jitsu gym and try to challenge those guys you'll see.

Bjj Doesn't lack in Effective takedowns and even if it does, we just want to get the fight on the ground how are you going to stop someone from pulling guard? striking is pretty useless if someone pulls guard on you.

look at the comment I responded to and all your questions will be answered, also it is real hard to throw a bjj player that pulls guard, but it's real easy to find a submission on a judo player from that guard.
