Labor ministers made out all day today that Julia Gillard delivered her speech without auto-cue or notes at the Labor Launch in Queensland, as relayed by the media later on that night. Turns out a stage hand put her notes there for her as she took the stage. Sorry for the lowish quality, best I could do at the time.

This video is exactly what is wrong with Australian politics.

The story is never about the policy its all about the scandal... its about the tiny minuscule side story bullshit that makes a mockery of our political system.

Most pedantic observation of the governing body as of yet.

Im sorry if that was harsh but if you can't stand back and realise it on an after thought then theres something wrong.

  • I'll be submitting blank vote cards until the Sex Party and Family First form a coalition and call themselves Sex First.

  • @apacheslim very true - but the same could be said for the banks - why dont they superprofittax them too?

  • @RemsterOnline

I prefer labor on prinicple but they both disgust me. Rudd was better personally that gillard . She is so condecending with and undercurretn of arrrogance. Internet cencorship is a joke. Liberals are tight with money because they have enough therefore we can make the sacrafices for them as usual. They would have made us suffer in the GFC. Both parties are really bad . TOO BAD THeY DONT INVITE ANY 1 ELSE TO THE DEBATES.

It wont drive minig out of australia it is still too lucrative too abandon like that. The tax will tax the companies after all their expenditures. Thats after everyne gets paid and the res tof it they will have a profit. Which will number in the billions. Then the tax will take money out of that profit. It is done so to keep a balance in the mines as everyone is affected equally. Personally i think they should nationalise it. There is too much money there for a few business's

  • @Jehanam I agree, this video is retarded, so what if Gillard uses notes or not. We should be deciding what's best for the country......

  • so you'll all let liberal get in so they can cut the fibre optic internet infrastructure they're installing.. so they can ACTUALLY waste billions of dollars by cutting it, right now, after it's already so far into development.

  • Why is anyone going to vote greens? Seriously, have you actually looked at their policies instead of saying "Ohh yeah it will help the environment"? Okay, if you were a fucking Kangaroo, then you might want to vote greens, but you're not. Look at their damn policies, if they had power they would RUIN the country. Don't give them any more seats. I would rather have the Aussie Sex Party hold a few seats. At least these guys have actual viable ideas that would affect us, euthanasia, censorship, ect

  • People with an agenda have gone to great lengths to portray this as a scandal. But since when is reading from your notes become an indictable offence?

The woman herself has never claimed she did it note-less.

Personally, the absence of a teleprompt was refreshing to say the least.

  • @apacheslim i understand where you're coming from - the thing is that this discussion could go on forever - My overall opinion is that we need mining in Australia to help keep us out of recession as its helped in the past - I'm old enough to remember how horrible it was in 1990, I don't want to go through that again. Again, you're right, but will driving mining out of Australia help?

  • DID ANYONE ELSE THINK THEY GOT AN FB MESSAGE IN THE END?
