Premier photo and film studio, Smashbox Studios, was founded in 1991 by Davis Factor and Dean Factor great-grandsons of the late, great cosmetics guru Max Factor. Originally established for film, the enterprise has since expanded to include a photo studio, modeling agency, production company, clothing line, and the cosmetic line, Smashbox Cosmetics. The studio furthered its claim to fashion fame in 2002 when it began hosting Los Angeles Fashion Week.
In 2007, Smashbox Studios merged with Quixote Studios, an LA based film and photo studio. Together, they offer 15 studios between three locations in West Hollywood, Culver City, and Griffith Park. The company also holds an annual photography competition, called F.A.C.E. OFF (Fashion Advertising Celebrity Editorial).
Today, we interview Lori Taylor, the lead makeup artist who has spearheaded numerous events, including fashion shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Los Angeles, the MTV Video Music Awards, Stand Up to Cancer and more.
Great video. I wonder... what eye glasses is she wearing?
