How is the ending racist? This is one of the first movies to have a male black lead, that was unheard of even in the 60's. If anything, it has to be the funniest, most unexpected ending in horror film history lol(spoiler alert) he does all the fighting and survives only to get killed by a redneck... I'm black and was like "WTF HAHAHAH" that had to be the first and biggest epic fail in the history of cinema hahah
this was the most violent and horrifying movie of its time. could you imagine what people were thinking when they were first watching this?? expecting it too be like frankenstien, mummy or dracula. boy they were in for a real treat
this film is extreeme symbolic look at it this way the zombies outside is the passage of time time is always passing you by, in a way it is your enemy no 1; a day gone shall never come back... and inside your home or office you have a number of things to do in order to survive
or the zombies are encroaching debt and bills and you are fighting to keep afloat and not drown
