Security Camera Catches Home Intruder

July 2009 Customer Success Story Contest: 2nd Place.

When our customer went to work on June 18, 2009, she had no idea that her home and family would be the target of a break-in that could have ended tragically. Here is the story in her own words:

"I left to go to work, leaving my fourteen year old daughter at home alone. Shortly after I arrived at work, my daughter called frantically, 'Mom, someone was just ringing the doorbell and now I hear a noise in the house.' I was less than ten minutes away so I immediately started heading back home. I also called the police on my way to alert them to what had just occurred at my residence.

I called my daughter back to ask her if someone got inside the house. She was crying and said, 'Yes, he was standing in my doorway!'

I asked her if he was still inside the house. She said that she didn't know. She was too scared to move.




When I arrived home, the burglar was gone and my daughter was physically unharmed. However, she was extremely shaken up and afraid.

While the police officers were interviewing me, I told them that the burglar was caught on my home video surveillance system. They downloaded the video and have been actively seeking this suspect since the burglary."

Crap! If you showed that tape to a bunch of jurors they would say that it was me. It looks just like me. I'm looking for a security system myself but I want great detail so I can POSITIVELY identify the burglars.
