This short video was shot the day we had a guest speaker come to the college to present on Fisher FieldVue (digital) positioners. I wanted to demonstrate the hazards associated with ball valves on a workbench by chopping a pencil in half with one as it closes.

The series of flashes you see in the first part of the video was me taking still-photos of the valve in five different positions, for use as illustrations in the instrumentation textbook I'm writing.
