2009 Mitsubishi Ralliart Snow Test

A look at the 2009 Lancer Ralliart, then off to the mountains to test the three differential settings in winter conditions. How much of a difference does the tricky center diffential make?

A note on the conditions: This was a snow park at high altitude. The ground was frozen and even when some of the snow was wiped off, it was excessively icy underneath. In some areas, complete ice.

I bet the engineers at mitsubishi have made the setting the way that gravel would have been faster in those conditions, if there would have been more consistent input from the driver.

tarmac is better for any racing, you dont need to pull the handbreak to slide with tarmac mode on wet or snowy conditions, i just give it more throttle. gravel has more understeer, and snow has way too much.... for regular driving rain and snow mode in rain and snow conditions it feels more comfortable to drive with normal acceleration, but when i drive in regular acceleration with tarmac, i slide.

i dont see a point in the wrx or ralliart either you want a beast car (evo) or you want an economy car (lancer) usually you dont want a normal or fast car but the ralliart is still nice

This video doesn't prove anything. Get Ken Block to test both the Ralliart and the STI and I'll respect those results.
