  • @Grondverzetfjhaan if you break an underground utility over is Aus and it causes disruptions you can be served with massive fines or jail time, loosing one days work doesnt sound to bad compared to what we get stuck with!

  • @King441 Hello, about the bucket shape i mean it should be more like a banana shape. In The Netherlands we also use only a bucket with flat blade. The operator is doing a perfect job. A Groundworker, the man with a shuffel, has to check first if he tagged a utility, that we can can dig. Here in The Netherlands we have to check first before excavating. If we brake a utility is wil cost us one day's work.

Have a look at my photo album.

    Regards,

    Erik

  • @Grondverzetfjhaan in Australia its common place to use only a bucket with a flat blade, unless you want to go right through what your trying to find. and although im not the best operator or supervisor in the world, hes doing alright in my books considering hes looking for utilities. and what do you mean by ground worker? like a spotter to look out for things the operator might miss? that seems a bit much to me

  • @King441 , Hi, indeed good operator skills. But the bucket is not suitable for this work. You can't under hole the pipe properly. This is taking too long. In the Netherlands it is prohibited to dig without a ground-worker.

    Regards,

    Erik

  • guess ill just keep dreaming till my 302.5 wears out
