Bible Desecrated in Gallery of Modern Art

A publicly funded exhibition is encouraging people to deface the Bible in the name of art — and visitors have responded with abuse and obscenity.

The show includes a video of a woman ripping pages from the Bible and stuffing them into her bra, knickers and mouth.

The open Bible is a central part of Made in Gods Image, an exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art (Goma) in Glasgow. By the book is a container of pens
and a notice saying: If you feel you have been excluded from the Bible, please write your way back into it. Extract from The Times. July 23/07/2009

On Sunday 26th of July 30 members & supporters of Zion Baptist Church, lead by assistant Pastor Jack Bell made a protest
out side the GoMAR building, over the desecration of The Word of God.

It would seem that religious tolerance does not extend to Christians, as Glasgow City Council have helped to fund this hatred towards the Word of God & Christianity.

They have in the past reduced the motto of the city to remove the Christian message.
Lord let Glasgow flourish through the preaching of Gods word & the praising of his name.
In 1699 it was shortened to Let Glasgow flourish.

The best thing to do with these people is rise above them because these hippies are only trying to seek attention. If you don't give them any they won't get what they want, a reaction. This isn't art either because art since the beggining of time has been about the expression of beauty, not mindless shock value with no substance or meaning. Modern art is a classic example of how degenerate Europe has become.

To be honest I think people should be allowed to do this, this is freedom of expression no matter how tasteless, disgusting and offensive it is. What angers me is how the government funds the destruction of our culture in this way, yet would arrest those who would try to deface a Quran. I mean can it be any more obvious whos side this government is on? It obviously isn't the indigenous British.
