    It was kickstarted with lots of funding from Apple. He may not have been responsible for all of it's ideas, but it's thanks to Steve Jobs that we have the Pixar we know and love today.

    Yes there would. Pixar was made as its own company, however Pixar only works with Disney. If Disney has ever bought Pixar or gained ownership, I'm not sure, but Pixar was (or is) it's own company. Disney helped it to get well known as it is today.
