i first found this song in 1969 in the navy radio station at Hofn AFS,Iceland,recorded
it on a reel to reel tape,think i still have it. I think it's the greatest cowboy song ever

I believe that's Luther Perkins on the bass tick-tack guitar. I may be mistaken.

Hey try playing it with "C", "F", and "Am". I play it tuned a whole step down capo on first fret

@mozzocco1 look on Cowpie for a chart, it's pretty simple, basic 1-4-5 and a 6 m. I do it in A (Bass vocal, but I yodel quite a bit higher.)

we are sure going to miss him here in wichita on the radio. retiring after this week. 26 yrs. i knew him well. happy trails johnny western.

"The last of the singing cowboys" Great guy and fantastic speaker. Met him in Utah and was really impressed.
