Manipulating a throwbag throw the canopy of a tree can result in a stuck throwbag. Typically the effort of installing a throwline in a tree consists of throwing or shooting the line over the target limb, but rarely results in acquiring the targeted limb alone. Most likely a number of higher and peripheral limbs are captured by the throwline. The common practice of simpy pulling a throwbag back through the canopy to clear the unwanted limbs can easily result in the throw bag hanging in a tight crotch or looping around a limb. When that happens you can't pull it down with the throwline and it won't fall under the force of gravity - it's stuck and has to be retrieved which can be frustrating, plan changing, time consuming and dangerous. The method in this video is by no means original, but greatly reduces the risk of getting a throw bag/throwline hung and enhances manipulation and limb isolation. The simple concept is to attach a second throwline to a throwbag. Actually, you need to add a second throwbag to the first for additional weight needed to pull two throwlines down simeltaneously. You can then pull the throwbags up and if they get stuck, you can most likely clear the stuck bags with the second line. Once you have pulled the throwline over the target limb, you lower the throwbags to the ground. One throwline will be over at least one side of the target limb and the other will be over all those other limbs you looped. You can leave that throwline attached to the throw bags and pull the other end down. Once it's down, it can be reused to clear the other side. At this point you should be able to pull the throwbags back over the crotch and lower them on the other side of the target limb. At this point one throwline should have the target limb isolated. Now you untie the second throwline and you're ready to pull up your rope. I've used this method as much as 4 times per setting in order to carefully clear limbs on each side of the tree that might offer too much friction to the throwlines to clear the entire setting at once.
ROFL!!! It's a trick - all hair searches lead to tree climbing vids - LOL.
What's really funny, is I don't have hair and you still found me.
Thanks for your comment; it was a welcomea and fun comment.

Apparently you don't understand the problem. If you untie the throwline from the bag, how would you isolate a limb? You couldn't. There are two ways to isolate a limb with a line and I've seen professionals use these methods repeatedly. The one in this video is in illustrated in the book (or a very similar method), Tree Climber's companion.
The only alternative to this is to pull the bag beck through the tree, which will often get it stuck.
