LG Dare Texting Tips and Tricks

To improve text messaging, calibrate with a pen cap tip and turn off haptic feedback and sounds. For some reason, feedback and sounds slow down the phone, causing the letters to appear on screen much slower than your ability to text, almost to the point that your phone stops responding.

I have the dare and love it but in this world of smartphones, I'm craving a single step up. Lg cosmos touch? Env touch? Microsoft Kin TWOm?

@boruken The problem is that because most everyone are moving towards smartphones, the "dumb" phone market has really dropped. You would have to tell me what you mean by "single step up." There are Android, Blackberry, and iPhone smartphones to choose from. Do some research to find out what features you're looking for. I went from Dare to BB Storm 2 (discontinued, now BB Torch).

@boruken That will depend upon what features are important to you. Non-smartphones are a smaller market now that smartphones are more readily available. The LG EnV series are really good messenger phones and they're compact. I had an LG Env2, but you should be able to get an EnV3.
