Guggenheim, Design It: Shelter Competition entry- Solace by the River

The shelter creates varying degrees of privacy for the occupant from the open porch to the enclosure of the back. The porch is oriented toward the river; windows of varying sizes are cut into the other sides framing views from various heights- sitting, laying down, etc. With the front windows slid back, the occupant can lay out his work on the cantilevered counter and enjoy the quiet contemplation.
