@damienbrennan1 Please read my previous comment.
As an ex Catholic myself, I am yet to meet one not dumber than a bag of hammers, theologians included, this was the main reason I turned to reality rather than fairy stories.

As a former catholic & now completely converted to nothing, I know that the church still counts me as an adherent somewhere in thr statistics. Mildly annoying, but I think they might be starting to figure out that all those believers out there r no longer out there as churches start to shut down & the remaining flock dies off. I dont have an axe to grind with the church, but RCs r required to believe in far too much magic, none of which makes any sense in hindsight.

@atheistrocker100 Ok whatever you win, I don't really know enough about William Lane Craig to be able to say anything. But I think that debating at a religious level can be really tedious because many theists (and Atheists) simply won't accept the other view no matter how much reasoning is pumped into it. Put simply, the fight against irrational theistic reasoning is an un-winnable fight, one that Dawkins decided not to partake in on a debating level. Does that make him a coward?

@TonneofAsh He's not a creationist.

@atheistrocker100 He probably didn't debate him because he believes that the creationist mind will not take on board any scientific explanations or reasoning. Trying to reason with a creationist is like trying to reason with a cat.

@TonneofAsh He refused to debate William Lane Craig

@SpencerBenedict2nd I agree that the church has done some terrible things, i do not agree that the holocaust was orchestrated by rome. As for the inquisitions, they were greatly exagerated, there have been many non-catholic tv programmes and books that support this. Even people such as st.john of the cross were brought before inquisitions,they were found inocent of heresy and left alone, which is opposite to the populag belief that people were simply captured and tortured.

sksk1995 ASKS, "Are you saying the catholic church is responsible for the holocaust ?"
>Not exactly, but allow me to be blunt in sharing historical fact and universal truth.
The Vatican led papal Caesar dynasty Crusades ("heretic" burning religious genocide/inquisitions) of the papacy's (biblical anti-christ) Dark & Middle Ages have never ceased. They are still being carried out under the guise of "War".
So-called "Holocaust" was orchestrated by Rome's Jesuit Order secret military.

@atheistrocker100 What the fuck makes you say that?
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Actually, atheists does killed in the name of atheism.
Im sure Dawkins is proud of the Atheist Mexican Regime during the Cristero War, christians persecuted and executed BY ATHEISTS.

@trifulquita15 Atheism cannot by definition kill anyone, it is simply a lack of beliefs in something. Do not get a political ideology containing anti-theism (a very different thing) with what atheism is. The killings on Mexico, like any killings of one group by another group, are due to a need for power and dehumanisation. Atheism, by definition, cannot cause that, unless the examination of events is mind-numbingly simplistic.
