Background of Celebrate Mercy:

Celebrate Mercy launched in February 2010, and in only 3 weeks an online global web-cast was organized to celebrate the life and character of the Prophet Muhammad (God bless him and grant him peace). The web-cast includes many of the world's most prominent Muslim scholars, singers, and poets who submitted short videos to Celebrate Mercy. These videos were then compiled into a beautiful 3-hour online... program.

Speakers include Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Dr. Yusuf Islam, Habib Umar bin Hafiz, Shaykh Nuh Keller, Sami Yusuf, Dalia Mogahed, and many others. Through a well-executed marketing campaign amongst hundreds of volunteers, the program was a huge success: 5,000 viewers from 78 countries (12% of registrants were not Muslim).

CM is having its second online web-cast (CM2) in August. CM2 will broadcast the day before Ramadan and will re-broadcast a few more times that week. CM2's purpose is to increase the audience's love for the Prophet( God bless him and grant him peace) and provide an inspiring Ramadan kick-off. CM2 continues the theme of celebrating the Prophet's life and character, but will focus more specifically on events that occurred in the Prophet's life during Ramadan. CM2 will also include Prophetic sayings about the blessings of Ramadan as well as Quranic verses that were revealed during Ramadan.
