Holy Moly that was rude.....Yeah, Keith's one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the earth, but I'll tell ya something.....I wish I could listen to his piano genius without listening to all his moaning and grunting and humming and bad singing. Keith Jarrett is the king of what Zappa called "Jazz Noise".

Oh boo hoo. People love me and want to photograph me. Oh the humanity. If the flash is on, then I get it. It's a distraction and thats just rude of the person. But this guy is just being a pretentious asshole. This is the last few moments of my time I waste on anything Keith Jarrett related.
If he doesn't want to be photographed, DON'T BE A PERFORMER SHIT STAIN!

I agree if it said no recording devices then people should follow the rules, but the Lord reserves the right to punish this guy.The Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who takes his name in vain!

And by the way, people who take cameras into a Keith Jarrett concert are assholes. And they should turn them fucking off. And if they don't, Keith, Jack and Gary have earned the right to leave their goddamn city. So I really don't see what the fuss is about.

To be able to produce his music, Keith Jarrett is, by definition, operating close to the extremes of human emotions. Few people can truly understand what this means but I imagine it makes you hyper-sensitive and prone to outbursts of all kinds. His personality and his music are two sides of the same coin and I (along with many others) am more than happy to put up with one in order to experience the other. And as I said before, if you don't like it, stay away.

No one has the right to address an audience that has paid to see them with such insulting and obnoxious vitriol. Jarrett's juvenile rant was offensive, extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I don't give a damn how good you are -YOU DO NOT ADDRESS AN AUDIENCE LIKE THAT! Jarrett has the right to voice his concerns about cameras. But the toxic trash talking is unacceptable.
