Alexi Arango's lab at Mount Holyoke College is custom designed so that undergraduate students can build layered structures such as solar cells and organic LEDs. The third-generation solar cells manufactured in this lab employ semiconductors such as quantum dots, molecular dyes, and metal oxides. These novel semiconductors could result in highly efficient devices that can be less expensively and more easily manufactured than devices employing silicon. Students working in this lab hope to make renewable energy more viable.

  • Way to go Alexi. Very impressive. I do get a double sound on it. Is that my computer problem? Everything said is repeated immediately. You also look great. Will we ever see you again. Royce and Martha Hodge. Tampa.
