This is a performance of John Cage's Fontana Mix for a university assignment. Basically we were given the score, which consists of lines and dots on transparencies with a grid. We had to take readings from that, and decide what certain things on the readings (such as points on the grid, where the lines intersect the grid... etc) would represent... From that we had to turn it into something we could perform.
It probably sounds like a load of random noise, but we were actually reading from scores made from those readings. We had to do certain things within certain time constraints whilst doing nothing within others. The performance was to last 10 minutes. We got a first for this.
And yes, we are wearing capes.

Unfortunately it's pretty impossible to see Pat's drawings on this video... They consisted of six different colours in different shapes.
