Glacier Trekking in Alaska

Here's the helicopter ride we took with Northstar Trekking while in Juneau, Alaska. They set us down on the Mendenhall glacier, equipped us with waterproof clothing, boots, crampons and ice picks, and took us on a trek across the glacier for two hours. During the first part of the trek they took us into a crevasse covered ice fall region of the glacier, which is not shown in this video. After this they took us to streams, moulins and ice caves within the glacier. The helicopter ride and glacier trekking was the highlight of our Alaska trip.
