What the Travel Pillow™ does is maintain the legs in a position so the passenger doesn't have to use excessive muscle tension to keep them from sliding outwards. Since the Travel Pillow keeps the legs slightly elevated, it eliminates the pressure that cuts off circulation to the legs and feet and increases efficiency of blood flow. This is crucial because it helps avoid Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), a potentially life-threatening condition caused by constant pressure on the arterial veins of the upper thigh.

Recently, airline seats have been spotted as a possible cause of this potentially fatal condition and some airlines are attempting to combat the problem by pouring money into quick fixes that, unfortunately, do not work.
