  • I did the exact same thing with my filly except it was my gelding that led the way, they seem to be so much more confident to take a look if they see someone else has already done it and the tarp didn't eat them lol

  • @stropheus

You need to take a look at Bravos little brother :) He is only ten days old and one of the dogs had dragged in some plastic into the garden. When we came out he had already started the training ;) He's amasingly tough!

Search for the video: "Andalusian foal Amoroso is going tough "

  • Awh wow!! Thats amazing!! It's amazing to see how much the stallion trusts you and love you :) He's following you and copying you. Thats amazing and beautiful to see :)

  • @lilvixion Thank you for those kind words. The stallion is a great horse and a great dad, too! I wish more people had the opportunity to let the stallions be involved with their offspring, it's great for all parties; stallion, foal, mare and not the least the human :)

  • so sweet i want to breed my own stally but nobody wants me to have it they all say stallions are all ways nasty and a waste of time

  • @moonie014w

A few words of warning: I wouldn't recommend everyone to let the stallions breed the way mine does. The stallion (and the mare, too!) should be certified for breeding: not every horse is suitable. In order for him to live with his familiy like mine does, he needs to be socialized from a young age. Stallions aren't "bad", but they need a good social upbringing if they are to act naturally; don't just let them loose with other horses and expect everything to work out by instinct.

  • it's not bribing, it's like positive reinforcement. the foal showed a little interest and sniffed the tarp, which is what you want so you give it a treat ( the treat says well done so does kind words) but the foal will figure out that if i sniffs/ stands on the tarp he will get a treat but if he doesnt do those things he doesnt get a treat.
