I am in my hometown, 광주(gwangju) as I am writing this description, and this is just a short video to show you the cars driving along the highway around 00:30 am.

For a national holiday like 추석, people usually go back to their hometowns and there's always a huge portion of the population moving across the country to get together with their family, partly out of will and partly out of obligation ^^a .

Thanks for watching, and you can subscribe to my personal podcast at http://why-be-normal.com

감사합니다.

  • how many hours does it takes you for this trip?

  • it usually takes about 4 hours by bus but during a national holiday period it can take up to 7~8 hours :) but I was lucky on that day because it didn't take too much more than usual ^^ probably because I took the bus at very late at night.

  • Haha. This reminds me of texas right now because of the hurricane, there are lots people coming to my city because its further up from the coast -_-;; lol I like buses.

  • 그렇구나 ^^;

  • it gets really busy on the roads, right?

  • yeah it does! Hehe. but I was lucky that it wasn't to jammed when I took the bus.

  • 와.... 추석 때 여행가기 기억 나....^^

  • 광주 is about 350km away from Seoul : ) So I was about half way there when I took this vid (actually I'm still here, hehe) :)

    I find it hard to sleep on the bus, too, I had my eyes shut but doing a lot of things at the same time - thinking, listening to a podcast, and singing quietly haha - I guess I was really bored on the bus :D

  • How far do you live from home? Judging from the road sign, you still had a long way to go. It's so hard to sleep on a bus, too. (For me at least, haha) Have a happy Chuseok! ^_^
