Thank you for making this video depicting the precious children of Vietnam forty years ago. Before going to war, the members of any nation should be made to see the faces of the children of the supposed "enemy." I have encountered many Iraq War veterans now firmly against war of any sort. It is a barbaric practice promoted by persons who are complete moral cowards whom we must oppose at all cost.
I wonder: has anyone ever contacted you as per your request at the end of this video?

Yes Sir, as a GI Baby grew up with these Kids as the same circa till i left for the States in 1987. You saw through our hearts and we keep those memories of our GIs with us !

Do you know why people on the left didn't oppose to the communist vietnam taking over? Because they were communist. If it were Nazi threatoning to invade SV then they would have opposed it as they should. But since they were socialist/communist they believed that they were right in taking over the capatilist South Vietnam.

This is a really amazing film - to hear the actual photographer's voice, describing what he filmed, and how the children often saved this man. I pray for the souls of the childen who died during this terrible war.

Though I remain interested in using the photographs in a more complete presentation of the experience of the children in the Vietnam war, none have come forward to work with me to do so. I traveled to the country again earlier this year, and am making efforts with some locals to exhibit the photos in the Mekong Delta area where they were taken.
