Stephen Colbert PWNs Glenn Beck?

I think the biggest difference is people that watch Colbert get the joke, they are in on it, they KNOW Colbert is playing a character. People that watch Beck believe what he says, they think he is giving legitimate information and is looking out for the like-minded viewer. While Colbert points out hypocrisy and makes fun of it, Beck is a hypocrite that intentionally tries to incite fear and anger, and that is not funny.

Colbert's show started out subversive and peaked at the white house correspondence dinner.  Glenn Beck is an answer to the "Colbert Problem" that conservatives had.

colbert and beck are not the same really. Colbert is on comedy central, so its 'supposed' to be funny. beck is on fox, which is supposed to be serious news. i guess i could best describe colbert as a "fake extreme republican", simply mocking all republican views and beliefs. If you look at him and his show as that, it makes a lot more sense.

it comes on after the daily show, and thats a 'democratic' show, its logical to have an 'opposing view', even though colbert is a democrat. i do believe his show is for pure entertainment, not really news. beck is ACTUALLY a conservative republican trying not to joke, but he himself is one
