Sì, Scherbo participò tambièn en las Olimpìadas de Atlanta 96'; pero no consiguiò los logros conseguidos en Barcelona (6 medallas de oro, de 8 posibilidades). Obtuvo entonces, 4 medallas de bronce. Pero lo màs triste es que nunca fue "profeta en su tierra", Bielorrusia. Menospreciado por los mismos bielorrusos, quizà a causa de la misma frialdad que su paìs natal le transmitìa, reside en la actualidad en Estados Unidos.

Fantastic vault from a fantastic gymnast; is the Scherbo still a viable vault today? I mean, men dont use the long horse to vault anymore, so would we ever see the Scherbo vault today?
